Sweetapolita : ruffles, cherries, & sprinkles!

i was blog browsing and ran upon photos of this cake over at LENORENEVERMORE via the wonderful.. Sweetapolita. i love these ruffles!! i think this would be perfect for a baby girl shower, a birthday party, a lingerie or wedding shower, or just for one of those.. "have your cake & eat it too" type days! :)

here are a couple of others by Sweetapolita that i think are so sweet! i love the "how-to" instructions with photos that come with every blog post. she is so incredibly talented & her blogsite is perfect.. sweet, simple, & functional.. i feel like im inside of the bakery anticipating the taste of all of these amazing desserts!

She also creates fabrics, pillows, & ceramics from her paintings.. these are so interesting.. they look different at every angle & distance... i love looking at them.

last christmas, my childhood friend Audrian, made terrariums for all of the women in her family. i went shopping with her to find the most lovely glass containers.. and since then.. i have noticed them everywhere ive been! 


i just saw these over at Pigeon Toe.. they are so beautiful and are definitely on my wishlist!!
i want to hang them everywhere! in a sunroom, a kitchen window, a porch.. ahhh! i love them!

we're back! 

after a long 2010, things are just now seeming to get back to normal.. im sad to report that my grandfather passed away in august. the entire year seems like a blur that we would never return from.. but thankfully, God is guiding us in a future that will be divinely blessed with memories that will never fade.
