happy weekend! : reflection

"Follow the trail of your time, your affection, your energy, your money, & your allegiance.  At the end of that trail, you'll find a throne; & whatever or whomever, is on that throne is what's of highest value to you.  On that throne is what you worship."
-Louie Giglio

i was going through some old files today, & found this quote.  i had to share it with you.
..a bit of reflection on this beautiful friday..
happy weekend!

inBrightness : to a blessed future

we're back!
after a long 2010, things are just now seeming to get back to normal.. im sad to report that my grandfather passed away in august. the entire year seems like a blur that we would never return from.. but thankfully, God is guiding us in a future that will be divinely blessed with memories that will never fade.
in memory and great honor of a beloved man.. i share this blessing of song by The Vespers.. enjoy!
& heres to a great future of inBrightness! cheers!

eternal threads

many churches are participating in the fair trade movement of eternal threads. eternal threads is an organization that brings hope & justice to the women & children of poor & developing countries. they buy large quantities of products, handmade by the women of India, Madagascar, Nepal, Thailand, & Afghanistan, and sell them here in the states and across the world. through this organization, these women have the money they need to survive, educate themselves & their families, and potentially lower their risk of being trafficked.
below, are some of the beautiful products, handmade by women around the world, striving to achieve sustainable lives for themselves and their families.

natural dye silk shawl

beanie hat

moonwalk necklace

vetiver runner

cinnamon placemat

above, is my favorite gift of all. .....the gift of safety to a child who is in danger of being sold into slavery &/or sex trafficking. if you are not aware of this worldwide life-dangering problem, please view the resources listed below. if nothing else, please raise awareness to those around you.
